Whilst I was looking through the number of photographs I had taken over many decades, I kept coming across collections of images I had no recollection of taking. I recognised the subjects but had no memory of taking them. I could no longer recall circumstances surrounding the events including intimate images, despite their tenderness and warmth, so I designed my final year degree exhibition to reflect the fragility of memory.
I decided to use a selection of intimate photographs as part of my very personal commentary on memory - do we actually remember events clearly and concisely, or do we now rely on saved images to confirm our presence in these situations?
